TWITTER2POSTERen

To mark the 5th anniversary of the UAE94 group’s grossly unfair trial, the International Centre for Justice and Human Rights (ICJHR) invites you to join our campaign to show solidarity with these prisoners of conscience, detained for exercising their freedom of expression and urge the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) government to issue their immediate release.

The UAE94 group consists of human right lawyers, academics, students, professionals and teachers who were unfairly tried on the charge of “founding and administrating an institution aimed at overthrowing the government”. Of the 94 that were tried, 69 were sentenced to imprisonment and 25 acquitted. Join us and show the UAE that we have not forgotten about the UAE94 and will continue to call for their release until they are set free. We urge you to use all possible communication tools including letters, videos, social media– Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc – to raise awareness about the UAE94, show solidarity with them and call for the unconditional release.

We also encourage you to write to the UAE government, to newspapers to write about the UAE 94 to express your solidarity.

Share with us your action taken to call for the release of these prisoners and all prisoners of conscience in UAE.

Please use the hashtags #FreeUAE94 and #SolidaritywithUAE94 – irrespective of the language in which you tweet. If everyone does, it is easy to find and retweet the tweets of others.
